I've been in a photo-editing mood lately, so have been busy monkeying around with some pictures, and wanted to share some here.

This first one is an attempt at HDR (high dynamic range), where you start with 3 or more photos of the same scene, all taken with different exposure levels, and then blend them... the result being (hopefully) an image showing more detail than would normally show in a single exposure, in both the dark and light areas.

I've seen some amazing HDR images (just Google it to see some yourself), and have also seen some horrible ones. Most of my attempts lean toward the horrible side... lol... but I'm slowly getting a bit better.

This one... well, I'm not perfectly satisfied with it... but it's somewhat better than previous attempts... so I'm getting somewhere. :)

These next two are edits of a single photo, which was actually taken by my wife, Lisa.

I love the original photo, I love the look on Emma's face... like she's peering off into the distance in deep concentration.

Anyway, I got playing around with it and ended with a couple different "illustrated" looks... one a bit of a painted look, the second a pencil-sketch sort of look.

Please let me know what you think. :)
